Christmas 2008

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. First we had a Reed family christmas a couple nights earlier and then we spent Christmas Eve and Day with Brad's family at their new home in Murray, UT. It has been so nice having them live so close to us.

I didn't have many presents to open on Christmas because a week earlier Brad got me an exercise bike off of KSL to help me lose all of my post-pregnancy weight. (Don't worry, I asked for it, it wasn't Brad's idea.) I am so excited to really start working out on it, I know I have been needing a form of exercise, not just for weight but just to help me feel good.

I got Levi and Spencer matching PJ's for Christmas that they opened on Christmas Eve. They looked so cute all matching! I think this picture is funny how Spencer has his legs all bunched up and Levi is just straight as a board.

The one present that I did get from Brad was exactly the same thing that I got him. It was so funny. I opened mine first and just kind of laughed and Brad was like "what, aren't you excited about it?" And I just told him that he should probably open a certain box next. You can probably tell that their was a dire need for a frying pan in our home.
P.S. I didn't realize that we were both wearing BYU-I shirts until I looked at these pictures. I guess we just have the same mind.
Another present that I got Brad was homemade Candy Apple Jelly, it is jelly made with apple juice and red hot candies. Brad has been begging for us to make some because he had some on his mission that he just loved. But I haven't really been too excited about it and just kept putting that project off. So I thought that it would be a nice, thoughtful surprise for him on Christmas.
I have never made jelly before or canned anything by myself so it was a learning experience. I was making it while he was at work one day and right when I was in the middle of it and the kitchen was a total disaster, I get a phone call from Brad saying that he was on his way home to pick something up. There was no time to finish and clean up, so as soon as he came in the door I yelled at him to not look in the kitchen and I went and got what he needed. So he knew something was up but he told me later he never suspected I was making jelly. We have really enjoyed it, one jar is already completely gone.
This is Levi's first Christmas Present!! Oh... so cute. He is in different PJ's Christmas morning because his diaper leaked and he got his new matching ones all wet. Oh, the life of a baby. So Sad!

Overall, it was an awesome Christmas! We even got to talk to Brad's brother Mark on his mission in Germany. He comes home in March and we are all very excited for him to meet his two new nephews. I hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas.
