The second page I did is the baseball glove and ball. The glove is made so you can stick your hand into it and I also put velcro on the ball just to make the page more interactive. Hopefully someone could tell it is a baseball glove even if the ball wasn't there, I'm not so sure they could. :) But I tried!

I've finally started
I have been wanting to make a quiet book for some time now and I have finally started. These are the first two pages I have done. This project has shown me how much practice I still need with sewing, even though these are simple pages, I have still made many mistakes. Oh well, the book just looks very "homemade."
The first page I did was the shapes page. I just used scrap fabric I had around and then made it so the shapes have velcro on them so they can be taken off and put back on. I finished this page on saturday night and brought it to church for Levi and he really enjoyed it.

Hopefully someone could tell it is a baseball glove even if the ball wasn't there, I'm not so sure they could. :) But I tried!
I'm excited to continue on with this project, I have 14 pages planned. I started out with the simple pages but I have some complicated ones coming up. Most of my ideas have come from either a pattern of my moms or from the blogs I have listed on the side of my blog. Check them out!!

I think you need to give yourself more credit. It looks really good! It totally looks like a baseball glove, I can't wait to see the rest.
You have done great! I could tell it was a glove easily! Maybe I should be brave and attempt a sewing project. I have a month left of sleepless nights so I might as well do something fun, right? Nice work, Janae!
Give yourself some credit! It looks awesome, and all homemade things look homemade! No one notices a seamstresses mistakes except for herself. Good work! I want to make one too, but it looks like a lot of work.
