Changes

I doesn't seem real, but I think it is time that I acknowledge a few changes that are coming soon in our family. The middle of December, we are moving to Oklahoma City for 2 months of training and then to Boise, Idaho for a job for Brad as an Air Traffic Controller. There are so many emotions that come with this news.
We are sooooooooooo excited!!! We have been waiting 2 long years to finally be able to start in this career. It is hard to have your life on hold for so long as you are waiting for something. We really think we are going to enjoy living in Boise, everyone we have heard that has lived in Boise has loved it. And Brad is anxious to have a job that can better support his family, not that he hasn't been doing great at that already, it will just be easier for him to do it now. :-)
But we are also very sad to leave the life we have created here. We have owned this home for 4 years now, crazy. This is the first ward since we have been married that we have lived in for longer than 11 months, so it really has started to feel like home. We have become comfortable in this ward with a lot of great people and feel invested in every one's lives, we want to see what is to come for all these people. (Thanks to Facebook we can do that I guess)
This home is going to be hard to leave. It was our first home and we literally put our blood, sweat, and tears into this home as we gutted and rebuilt it. We moved into this home basically as newlyweds (no kids at least) and are leaving as a family of 4. A lot of new life and new experiences happened in this home.
It is also going to be hard to move away from the family that we have here in Utah. It's going to be sad to not have cousins close by that my kids can play with and to no longer have grandparents that we can go visit on Sundays. Even though we are moving to Idaho, my home state, Boise is even farther from my family then SLC is.
Change can be good, though! We are excited for what life will bring and we are moving forward with excitement. We will take our fond memories and experiences here, and we will use them to better our lives where ever we go. This home, ward, and early years with our kids, will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
