Where do I begin?

I guess the best place to begin is at the beginning.  We are currently living in Oklahoma City in a furnished apartment for only 2 months.   So we got a storage unit in SLC to put all of our stuff into until we move to Boise.  This was the best and easiest way to move.  We got the unit like 3 weeks before we moved so we were able to take our time.  We put a lot of effort into packing boxes as cleanly and organized as we could.  Everything had a place and boxes were labeled down to almost everything that was in the box.  Then we could take just a small van load down to the storage unit and organize things there as we slowly put things in through the weeks.  Brad was so proud of how well pieced together the storage unit was.  Boxes of the same shape were piled on each other into columns, furniture here, tools there, and so forth.
Yet, this is how it looks now.
Only a week after we left Utah, and 2 days after Christmas, our unit was broken into and they took almost everything of value, other then the furniture. All of brad's tools (which he had a lot from remodeling our home), his computer, monitor, our very high-end dryer and dishwasher (which we loved so much that we wanted to take it to our next place), bike, vacuums, and the list goes on and on and on. They tried to take the washing machine with the dryer that they took, but they must have dropped it because it was left but all busted up.  The black stuff on it is from fingerprinting that the cops did because of the high value of all the things that were stolen. And no, we haven't heard anything back from the cops.
The thieves must have really taken their time. They went through our entire unit. Ripping open boxes (even ones labeled baby clothes) and throwing everything around.  For example, in this picture, that white Christmas tree box was originally in the front of the unit, all the lowes boxes were piled together on the right hand side, and the clock, shoe, potty seat, towels, etc. were neatly packed into boxes.
So much for our immaculate organization that we spent so much time doing.  Family of ours were kind enough to go clean it up for us and take these pictures so that we could see what really happened.  We really appreciate all of their help.
I'm not writing this for sympathy or anything, it's just another event in our lives that we are dealing with. And we are working with our insurance so we shall see how it all turns out.  But it sure is frustrating!!!!  That is my stuff!! How dare you!!
