Since we don't have any friends or families close to us and Brad as been very busy working, the kids and I have been very bored this summer. But there is one thing that we have LOVED doing this summer- riding our bikes. This spring we got a bike for Levi, a new bike for me (since my old one was stolen), and a used bike trailer for me to pull Jared in. It was some of the best money we ever spent. When it wasn't too miserably hot, the kids and I would go on almost daily bike rides. It was a great thing to help get us out of the house, give us some exercise, and give me something fun to do with the kids yet I can enjoy it also.
At the beginning of the summer it wasn't always the easiest thing to do because I would have to be yelling at Levi to stay on the right side of the road, or to stay close to me, or to stop before crossing the street. So it was often frustrating when we first started going. But now, Levi is a pro. I can completely trust him that he knows exactly what he needs to do and we can just ride. There is one place in particular that we always love riding our bikes to and the round trip is about 2.5 miles and Levi can now do it easily.
Every time we get on our bikes we are drawn to this one place, we can't stay away, and that place we will call home by the end of this week!! We always ride our bikes there and day dream about actually living in this home. There is also a park across the street which the kids love to play at. So that is what we have been doing to fill our summer days. This week is going to be crazy with moving, but I am very excited to be all settled in.

And I just love this side of our house, look, a field! You can even barely see a tractor working back there kicking up dirt, reminds me of home-sweet-home. The only problem is that there are plans in the future to continue that street and build homes over there and also behind us. It will be a sad day when a house goes up behind and to the side of us. But until then, I will enjoy this view and privacy. :)
