Two Weeks Old!!

Yesterday, Levi officially turned two weeks old!! I was going to take pictures to post on here but he was being a little pill yesterday and wasn't giving me any time to do anything else but try to keep him happy. I figured that those wouldn't be the best pictures anyways with him all upset. So I took some pictures today to show how much he has grown. I think he looks like he has really filled out, especially in his face. We went to the pediatricians on Wednesday and he weighed 8 lb 3 oz and was 21 inches long. For comparisons sake, when he was born he was 7 lb 11 oz and 20 inches long.

He is starting to be awake a lot more and that is both good and bad. It is fun when he is awake, alert, and looking around; he is so cute with his eyes open. But it is a little bit more difficult to get things done because he likes to be held and is eating a lot more which keeps me very busy. It is also not good that he is awake a lot more because that includes the nights. He just won't fall asleep after we feed him and won't let us set him down, he is a big cuddler I think. Several nights this week he has kept either me or Brad up for the majority of the night. Last night he did a lot better though. He had about three hour stretches between feedings and most of the time went to sleep right after he ate.

Well, life is good - it is difficult - but it is still good. We are getting use to being parents and are enjoying it more and more. We went on a stroll yesterday around the neighborhood with Levi in his stroller and it was very enjoyable. We passed several people in our ward out in their yards and stopped and talked to them and showed off Levi. We are starting to feel like a part of this ward and it was nice to chat casually and feel welcomed by other families in the ward. They have been very kind in bringing us dinners and even just stopping by to see how I am doing.

Levi has some really adorable face expressions that just melt my heart every time I see them, but I couldn't capture any of them in these pictures. I'll keep on trying so I can show how adorable my little boy is. :)

I almost have a smile in this picture!

Look at his attitude, already sticking his tongue out at his mother!

I would be careful around him, he could win any boxing match!

Janae, it is your cousin Nicole. Congratulations! Levi is adorable. I think he looks like you. Being a Mom is one of the toughest things to do, but it is also the best thing ever. There are so many rewarding parts about it. I guess if it wasn't hard, it wouldn't be worth it. Your blog is adorable.
