A couple of weeks ago we went to the Griffith Observatory. It is in the hills overlooking LA and is basically an educational museum about space. It was somewhat interesting, but it had very nice views overlooking LA and it is always fun to just get out and see something new.

If you look really close, you can see the Hollywood sign behind us.
Levi LOVES pushing anything around, especially his stroller. Once he starts, we cannot get him to stop without a tantrum. He pushed this stroller around in circles for like 10 minutes before we stopped him and he became hysterical.
After we left the observatory we went down to Hollywood Blvd. We only have one picture, it wasn't really a picture-worthy experience. Definitely disappointing - it was just a dirty street with dirty shops and nothing really interesting besides some stars in the cement. In front of the Grauman Chinese Theater was the one interesting spot to visit with the actual footprints and hand prints in the cement. Some of the hand prints there were pretty old like Shirley Temple, I thought that one was neat to see.
This weekend, the weather has really heated up again - it was in the mid-nineties. So we decided to go to the beach. This time we drove up to Malibu. The waves were pretty rough here, it was mainly a spot for surfers and not swimmers so it was pretty hard for us to really get out there and swim, but we still had a lot of fun.
Levi enjoyed himself a lot more this time at the beach and wasn't so timid about everything. He wandered around a lot and played in the mud for the first time in his life.

Before we went to the beach, we drove through the Mountains above Malibu and visited a movie set that they used for Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and other movies. It is a state park now so you could just wander around. As we were there, people were talking to the park ranchers about a future show they were going to shoot there. We have no idea what it was for or anything. It was WAY to hot up there so we didn't stay long and we headed quickly to the beach!!
Levi won and was celebrating!!
