Finally!! Another Quiet Page

I am so excited to have another layout page done for my quiet book. These two pages will go side by side in the book just like they are laid out here. It is a pocket with pad of paper and a pencil inside next to a mail box.

So the kids can write letters or draw pictures and then send them away in the mail. Such a cute idea I tweaked from the quiet book blog links I have on the side of my blog. Levi is still a little young to understand the concept of a mail box, but I think he will love the paper and pencil. I thought this pocket page would be the easiest one of them all, but oh was I wrong. Everything that could go wrong did. I had to re-cut the fabric several times, and it took me FOREVER to figure out how to do the button holes on this machine. But just like you could expect from my mom, she kept the instructions to this 30 year old sewing machine so I was able to eventually figure it out with the manual and Melanie's help. Yikes, I'm glad that's over with. I don't think I should be having any more problems with button holes, I've done like 30 practice ones now. :)
