Flying!! YIKES!

Brad got his pilots license last summer in order to boost his resume for an Air Traffic Control job. He still has some hours left to use in the plane and he has been begging me to come along with him sometime to join him in something that that he really enjoys. Well, I agreed to go and he planned an afternoon trip to celebrate our 4 year anniversary which is later this month.
We dropped Levi off at Grandma's and headed off in the plane to go to Logan for dinner. I actually wasn't as scared as I thought I would be during take off and stuff. But then the turbulence started.... yuck! It was so bumpy the entire hour ride to Logan. It startled me every time the plane jerked a little bit. But I was very impressed with Brad's ability and knowledge and trusted him that everything would be fine.
Once we landed safely in Logan we took a courtesy car from the place we buy gas for the plane, and headed to dinner. The only problem was that the courtesy car was a stick shift and Brad has never driven one in his life! Lets just say the ride to dinner was hilarious and sometimes very embarrassing!!! But we survived that. Brad said he was more scared to drive the stick shift in traffic than he was to fly the plane. :)
Dinner was at a very nice restaurant called Le Nonne. Very delectable and not very expensive. It is nice every once in a while to enjoy unique and amazing food.
As we headed back in the plane to SLC, the ride was absolutely smooth and I was able to just enjoy the experience and the views. It really was very nice. I am glad that I had the chance to experience what it is like for Brad to fly and I can understand why he likes it so much.

Nice pictures! I am convinced that I never want to do that...no offense, I would probably wet my pants. So when are you going again with him, Janae?
