We've got trouble, right here in River City.
That's right folks, our basement flooded. Our neighborhood has been having trouble with water coming up from the ground all spring. Some of the long time residents here say this is the first time their basements have flooded ever. Oh lucky us, to be here right now.
At first just our bedroom had some water in it. So we moved our bed into the family room, took up the carpet, and slept out in the family room for several days. Once it all dried out, we were about to put our room back together but ran out of time on the day we had planned. And it was a good thing we did, the very next day it flooded again, even worse. We vacuumed up at least 35-40 gallons of water just in our bedroom. But this time the water also went in the storage room, half of the family room, and Levi's bedroom. I think it took about 3-4 days of water coming in before it finally stopped. Hopefully we are done with flooding for good.

We had no where else in our house to put the furniture, so Brad just put it up on blocks while the ground was drying.
