New Scenery

We are now living in Nampa Idaho and are thrilled to finally be here.  We are excited for this new phase of life! - hopefully a very long phase, I'm ready to settle down. :-)  We are renting a home in Nampa and there are many things we love about it.  But I have to say, one of my all time favorite things about this house, is the view out the back!!  I LOVE not having to look at a back of a house when I look out my back windows.  I don't have to worry about always keeping the blinds closed so people can't see in. And I can see the sunrise!!!  In our old neighborhood, there were a lot of mature trees, which there are good things about, but one bad thing was I could never see the skyline or a sunrise or sunset.  Every morning now I sit at our dining table feeding my kids breakfast, and I just stare out the window watching the sun rise.  Aawwww. . . . Peace.
(the random musings of a 3 years old:  Levi and I were looking out the window one morning, watching the sunrise of course, and he said, "why is the sky red, when the sun is yellow?"  Wow, deep thinker.  I had a hard time explaining that on a 3 year olds level.)

The beautiful scenery outside my back door. You just can't beat having a tree farm behind your house.
I always knew I would love having no backyard neighbors, but as we have been looking for a house to buy, this item has risen drastically on my priority list after living here.

Oh the things you can do with boxes

Thanks, but no thanks, to the thieves who ransacked our storage unit, we had to buy (with the help of insurance) a lot of new things to replace items stolen. So not only did we have all our moving boxes, we also had furniture boxes, tv boxes, computer boxes, dvd player boxes, and the list goes on.  Yeah, . . . once we started unpacking and setting up our house, we realized the crooks took way more then we first assumed.  But things have worked out, and look what fun my boys have had with all these boxes:
 Forts
Houses
And slides (all Levi's idea to slide down the stairs.)

I'm happy you're happy with your new place. It makes me smile, because no backyard neighbors would be a total negative for me! For one thing, we share a car, so I like to be able to walk to a bus stop or the nearest stores or whatever. I would feel trapped out in the country. For another I just like having lots of people nearby. Different strokes for different folks. I hope you guys find a great house as soon as you're ready to look.
